My fellow readers: You knew that if there was a choice of anthologies from a group, that I would choose the most hardcore of the choices available. It's in my blood. I mean, I've always been like that. If this were 1994 and you gave me a choice between Carebears and X-Men, I'd choose X-men.
TV shows aside, I found the storytelling in these three comics to be top notch. Kayin and Abenyi had the least favored art but the best/most understandable storyline. Whereas Oro had the best art but the least understandable storyline. My point is that the three stories probably have gotten better since they were only the start of the stories and they've likely published newer issues.
I vaguely recall the editor saying that he was going to curate another anthology. He may have already started. If so, I hope to read more of Oro and Kayin & Abenyi. I might even go looking for it...next year.
In the meantime, I had my brother record my review to give my voice a break. Yeah he did his best with the names. I tried to give him written hints in the reviews. I mean, he sounded a lot better than when he recorded without the hints. Though I probably should have given him a few more hints. Like for Senegal. The 'e' in Senegal is a weak one, but in English there are no accent marks so pronouncing foreign words in English becomes a guessing game. Korean used to have accent marks on their transliterations, but they got rid of them probably because they were hard to type. I blame the Microsoft Word-ification of society. To type things faster a nation literally updated their translation rules. I think that's what happened; I'd have to look at the newspapers to double check.
Anyway, I made great progress on one of my side stories, finishing the first draft of season 1. Once the cover's done, I'll start posting episodes here and on the fan fiction sites.
