At some point in my career, I will learn how to say the title of books properly. Some day, I'll get it right.
Nonetheless, I found this week's book to be an exciting jaunt through futuristic London and Waka... Rumimbiland. Another really hard to say word and I probably misspelled it as well. At any rate, I found the main character inspirational and clever.
We have to be fair to the writer. The book came out well before the movie, so it's more along the lines of shared genre trope than copycat-ing. I didn't find the similiarities between the BP movie and the book to be disqualifying in any way, but even a lazy reader will pick those up. And I can't guarantee how the reader will feel about the references/co-current story evolution.
The story posted later than usual because the file links broke. It wasn't aliens... but I bet it was...
In other news, I've been reading up a storm lately. I've completed 45 reviews (this is #...37 I think, or 38) and rapidly approaching #50. I'll explain more when number #45 gets posted.
