Well, it’s not Voices of a Distant Star, it still shows how powerful a work someone can make with 3D animation software on their own. I think that with the help of better trained crew, she would have gotten better results, or at least better images. The overall pacing was done well, and not stop-starty like other 3D projects whose names escape me at the moment.
I hope she continues to improve her movie making skill since I was a little enthralled with her storytelling. She had the right idea with using a ‘required reading’ book as a metaphor for socially harmonious thought. Which is where I had to insert a Mao joke. It was sitting right there on the table, people! How could I not take it and run with it?!
Anyway, for the rest of the week, I’ll be working on January review products. I’ll be busy and out of town for awhile in January so I need to rebuild the buffer.
