I gotta admit that I've been a fan of 3D animation for a while. Beast Wars was my favorite show from that time period, when everyone and they mama needed blocky 3D animation. This show is considerably less blocky than those earlier works, but the way heads are drawn and animation crosses the uncanny valley a bit more often than I liked.
Despite that, I can see where he's going with the series and hope he continues to improve (and cut back on the naval gazing while he's at it). The universe he created gives off a combination of wonderful and dystopianic at the same time and it'll be interesting to see how the main characters change or handle that. Provivded that's where he wants to take the story, of course. He could have changed everything in season 2.
I'll have to tune in to find out.
This week, my workflow's a bit disrupted because my apartment is being renovated. Of course, they had to wait for the thick of mosquito season to do this. So I write on the bus, which is a bit hard to do when the driver keeps swerving like he's in the Indy 500!
