As I continue my growth as a writer, I've considered many avenues to publish my work, besides my personal site and Wattpad, that is.
Recently, it was suggested to me that I should write short stories for magazines. In general, it's something I haven't thought too much about it. The competition to get into magazine is fairly tight, what with professionals, aspiring writers, and first-time writers all competing for the same small amount of space.
Luckily, there are lots of magazines, so I'll give it a try. I'll probably never get into Asimov's or Analog, but there are plenty of other magazines out there.
Listening to some podcasts on the matter, from interviews of magazines editors, I've come to learn that a rejection doesn't necessarily mean a bad story. It could mean many other things.
If my stories don't get into a magazine, then I'll post them here!
